My name is Tom; I was born and raised in Florida. I have worked the last five years in the field of environmental testing of products. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and hope to wrap up my schooling in 1.5 years. I am a straight talker who does not "play nice;" If I think your opinion is BS, I will let you know it. I do not pretend to be bias for the sake of being bias. I am going to share my beliefs and I am more than happy to back up my opinions with proof.
Both republican and democrat politicians have betrayed the American people. I am a strict constitutionalist who supports the constitution party. I believe the federal government should be of the people and for the people (Not of the rich and for the rich).
I believe that all amendments should be removed from the Bill of rights and amendments for taxation of income should be removed from the Constitution. Taxing one's income is un-American and unconstitutional. The IRS justifies taxing our incomes by calling income taxes a "Voluntary Compliance Tax" (Google it!).
I believe in legal immigration (People from all nations should have the opportunity to seek the "American Dream"), but illegal immigrants should be shipped out of the country. We should not build walls around this country; instead, National Guard should be utilized for border security. Illegal immigrants who commit murder should be executed without trial (Not deported, so that they may return and kill more Americans). I believe that illegal’s should not be given free medical treatment (This reduces illegal immigration). I believe illegals should be allowed to apply for citizenship, but they must pay a back tax penalty.
I believe term limits should be set for senators (This will eliminate corruption by eradicating "career politicians" and will also bring new people with new ideas).
I believe the war in Iraq is wrong and unconstitutional (We invaded the country without declaring war first!)
I believe that Americans should be allowed to acquire any weapon the military has (The second amendment backs my statement). Armed citizens prevent a tyrannical government from forming.
If the media wants to gain the respect, of patriots like myself, they should give third party candidates equal air time as the BIG TWO receive (This will never happen because the media is used to manipulate us like sheep and tell us who we should vote for).
I believe both parties have the same agenda, but slight differences (democrats want to enslave us with socialism and republicans want to make us under paid worker ants for their large corporations).
Unless there is a major political revolution soon, I fear the only way to revert this country back to its constitutional rights is start another revolution.
The government likes to keep the country divided (religions, races, and social standing) because it fears the power of an indivisible people. Some of the English, French, Dutch, Swedes, Germans; and even slaves were able to put aside their differences and beliefs and unite as one people. The people of this country went against all odds and overthrew a corrupt and tyrannical government (Thus, forming a great and undivided country). We need to once again unite as one people, under one flag, and overthrow this corrupt, tyrannical government.
God bless American and God bless all American Patriots.
Tom, some say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so first let me say thanks. We do share some common ground, I also believe that the two parties have lost sight of what’s right for American and instead are driven by the power that comes from holding high office and raising billions of dollars. The only thing that seems to matter to either party is how many seats they can win in the next election cycle.
ReplyDeleteI can surely understand the position of the constitutional party wanting to get back to the original role of the federal government. The argument that I have with that is that this is no longer a country of thirteen colonies of approximately two million white land owners. This country has grown to become what many scholars often describe as the first universal nation made up of ethnicities and religious backgrounds from all around the world. This country now spans the entire continent and has influence in all corners of the world. The same general framework laid down by our fore fathers simply would not function in today’s America with over three hundred million citizens. Our founding fathers new this would happen so they incorporated a process so that future generations could peacefully change their government to suit the times.
You suggest we throw out all the amendments to the constitution with exception of the original ten in the bill of rights. So does this mean you are for slavery which was abolished by the 13th amendment? Are you against your mother having the right to vote as guaranteed by the 19th amendment? Are you against the 22nd amendment that limits the President to two terms? Just curious if you really thought that through?
As far as exterminating any illegal immigrant accused of murder without due process, that’s un-American and in a land ruled by law is intolerable, shame on you sir.
There are major issues that are facing this country and many are at least partly due to a rigid two party political system were the parties have lost sight of what is right for America replaced it with a vision that only focuses on the strengthening their own political position of power.
An intelligent debate that would lead to bringing together a viable third party that would follow moderate social and financial views and better represented the middle class would be worth continuing to discuss with you. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put your views in writing, and also the time to read mine and respond
